Stunning Same-Day Dental Crowns

Create The Smile You Want, Protect The Smile You Have

Do you need a dental crown but dread the thought of multiple, lengthy dental visits? At Trembath Dentistry, we understand your time is valuable. That’s why we offer same-day dental crowns, combining quality care with convenience to restore your smile in just one visit.

What Can a Same-Day Dental Crown Do For Me?

A good way to think about a dental crown is the “visible” part of your tooth, and it’s quite versatile. Whether you’ve just had a large filling and your restored tooth needs extra protection, or you’re missing a tooth altogether and you’ve had a dental implant, a dental crown protects and restores your smile.

The best part? Using CEREC technology, we can design, create, and place your custom crowns in a single appointment. No waiting. No second appointment. No guesswork. You complete the restoration and see the final result before you walk out our door. It’s a perfect fit for you and your time.

The Process

Simple, fast, and efficient are a few words that come to mind when considering same-day crowns. We’re sure you’re curious to know exactly what would be involved in your appointment. While nobody’s experience is exactly the same, here’s a general idea of what you can expect during your CEREC crowns appointment:

  • Consultation and Planning: Dr. Trembath will conduct a thorough examination to ensure a same-day crown is right for you. This may require digital X-rays to determine the extent of damage to the tooth/teeth in question.
  • Digital Impressions: We use advanced imaging technology to create a digital model of your tooth. This ensures we get the shape just right so that it blends in perfectly with your surrounding teeth. The goal of any reputable restorative dentist in Thornton, CO, is to restore your tooth in a natural-looking way.
  • Crown Design and Creation: The CEREC machine crafts your crown from a block of high-quality ceramic, matched to your tooth color. All of this takes place in-house while we keep you comfortable during the short wait.
  • Placement: Once ready, Dr. Trembath will fit and securely bond the crown to your tooth with dental cement and a curing lamp, making any necessary adjustments for a perfect, comfortable fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the procedure painful?

No. It’s really as simple as that. We numb the entire area before any work starts, and other than a slight pressure, there’s no pain involved at all.

How long will my crown last?

10-15 Years. It differs from person to person, depending on your overall oral health, brushing and flossing routine, and other things like using your tooth as tools or not. If the crown is on a tooth that takes a lot of wear and tear from biting and chewing, it can wear a little faster. Crowns are incredibly durable and often last a lot longer!

Can same-day crowns be used for all types of crowns?

Yes and no. Same-day crowns can protect or replace any tooth in your mouth, but for more complex restorations, a traditional crown could be the better option. While CEREC technology is incredibly versatile, if the restoration is very complex and requires dental lab-level expertise, we’ll be sure to let you know in advance.

How does a same-day crown compare aesthetically to traditional crowns?

They are near-identical. Both processes use high-quality materials designed to reflect light in the same way as your natural tooth. They’re both aesthetically pleasing and blend beautifully with your smile, where the main differentiator is just your waiting time.

What should I do to care for my restoration?

More of the same! Your everyday brushing and flossing routine is all the care your new dental crown needs. A dental crown can also be maintained and restored to keep it looking its best with a quick visit to our office.

How does the cost of a same-day crown compare to a traditional crown?

The overall cost tends to balance itself out. Where a same-day dental crown uses advanced CEREC technology and high-quality materials, a traditional dental crown requires a second appointment and often, temporary crowns.
